To secure Providence Photography services, e-mail Josh Rasmussen at josh@providencepics.com or call him at (208) 691-1624. Explain the type of the photography you need. To help cut time in creating an accurate estimate, be sure to include how you plan to use the photos. Why he needs to know how you plan to use your photos: Photographs are intellectual property. He creates income by selling licenses to use them. The more the photos are used, the more valuable they are. Because those photos are worth more, they cost more. Why he doesn't just offer packages from which to choose: Packages appear easier but often require clients to pay for things/time they don't need while not covering things they do. It's sort of like buying shoes, being a size 10 and deciding between a 9 and an 11. Josh realizes each assignment is unique. Attempting to cover all assignments with an array of packages is ignorant and irresponsible. He makes an effort to connect with clients and personalize each assignment, creating for them a custom-fit license(s) that caters to the exact needs of the client and no more. After an estimate is created, you will receive a written or digital copy to examine. After an agreement is reached, a written assignment confirmation will be sent to you which will need to be signed and returned before the assignment. This is for the purposes of both protecting the photographer's rights as well as yours. A 30% deposit is required as a retainer prior to the assignment. After the assignment, depending on the agreed-upon production terms and media type, your prints/digital images will be delivered to you along with an invoice. If the prints/digital images need to be mailed, they will be delivered most likely through FedEx or the USPS along with a delivery memo and invoice. The balance is due upon delivery of prints or digital images. |
